It's said Human greed Is infinite That the meaning Of resistance Is the calling Of fools But the power Of the collective Is not beyond Comprehending We aren't dealing With Epics Like edges of space Or Gods above We are dealing With groups Whose only power Is the belief Of others In power itself

Our Clock Winds Down In the view of a world Seen upside down Why do we not fear our cage? If my work is to sell My self-built shell What can I have left but rage? To toil and till These fields that we fill Yet nothing is left but our name. #poetry

Voice in my head Sounds just like mine Convinced these walls Are my own design. Said I could live Without a care Still walk through halls With a distant stare. Patterns build A rising fear That what was far Is always near Another quilt To hide beneath Thoughts in tar So I never see- #poetry

Irreducibly Human To be human is to be you Within the solipsistic mind No matter the scars The missing bits And the unending agony of surviving incomplete The humanity remains. If we must, truly, clamp the definition, To be human is to wake #poetry

Death Isn't Mundane Renowned as progress This endless race As a thousand clocks Will watch your face Value given Is mechanical praise And power held By a man who plays With the lives of many A death of overwork Is a horror most foul The body is a temple Not your shareholder's trowel. #poetry

Digital babies reap the field of lives As politicians spread their happiest lies What use is our flesh in mechanical eyes? Are our wars still so coarse that we'd kill for a prize? I pray for a world where no robot needs be traumatized Yet the gods we build will still carry our wounds. #poetry

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone for how incredibly supportive you've been!! 💖 I'm excited to finally be able to release this chapbook I put together as a gift to you. A thank you gift to the #poetrycommunity, all the poets and prompters. Please read alt text for more info.

Cassiopeia: The Anthology Chapbook, Jan-Dec 2025, with calligraphic "Thank you" across a diamond painting of a galaxy in blues, purples, and greens.

This picture comes from a diamond painting I made hanging on my wall. It reminds me of the piece I wrote on pointilism, how each little dot comes together to create a grander piece of art. Symbolically, I see each of us as one of those beautiful little dots. Each of us unique among our differences and similarities, yet when we all come together to stand for something we believe in, we help create something that will outlive us. Quite literally on this piece, given that diamond paintings are made from plastic. But here we are, instead of infecting water systems, we announce what we believe in by showing it up on a wall as poets, artists, creators, and witnesses to the world around us.

I know that my Cassiopeia project is way too long for everyone to read fully. I was okay with that because I still wanted to give myself permission to be as prolific with my poems as I wanted to. Historically women have been deprived of education, freedom of speech, and publication. So with this project I wanted to give myself permission, and thereby extend it to everyone else who has ever felt silenced, to be as grand as I wanted to be.

But I also knew I wanted to put together a chapbook that's shorter and designed for the people who inspired me so much over the course of creating this ambitious project. So this chapbook is a gift to you, the one or two people who are reading this alt text lmao. I hope you enjoy <3
