Cycling, there is only one road on to Canvey. The red lines mark shared space but the bridge is ‘rejoin carriageway’, yet there is the yellow highlighted path. This is owned by water board and is a tidal barrier but could be cycled on. Let’s have a permissive path?

Why I don´t talk about helmets? I lost too many wearing them. On Car-Free Day, 22 September, Nicolò, a seven-year-old child, was killed by a motorist in Turin. He was riding in the bike lane, wearing his helmet, riding to school with his father. A car driver killed him anyway. Photo Fabio Ferrari

Council building a cycle lane (possibly shared path) along the A13. At this roundabout its route is the red line. So far I see no drop kurbs meaning if you come from Maplin Way North you cannot get on the lane… equally if on the lane you can’t get off to go down Maplin Way Nth
