But I’ll take the guy who got Harris Wofford elected to the Senate, Frank Lautenberg reelected, Clinton president, Lloyd Doggett (TX U.S. Senate, lost but it’s Texas and was a good race) over the guy who says America deserved 9/11 and Jews are inbred.

The WNBA has never had a trans woman play in the league’s 30-year history and now the right and other anti-trans activists are hammering the league over something that has never been an issue, proving once again it isn’t about protection but exhibiting cruelty toward trans people.
I agree strongly with this -- in that difficult moment, the possibility of collective effort was conceivable. Not everybody felt it, but many did. I think the political class did not like this one bit.

That is a prime reason why so many powerful people want us to run screaming away from them into the comforting arms of selfish individualist competition.

I can't stress enough what a crisis this is. Trump's own intelligence agencies concluded that Iran attacked Minnesota's critical infrastructure and Trump is saying that it's Minnesota's own fault and denying it was Iran. The federal government won't defend blue states in a literal war.
