CEO Dan Clancy says Twitch now uses AI to identify streamers that may not match a brand, since it now transcribes all streams for brand safety. It won't show ads on channels or content the AI believes don't match what the advertiser is trying to achieve.

Twitch being the way it is right now, I think its important to bring this up again. Some entertainers Depend on Twitch for their living, I'm one of them, and now more then ever its important to support the people who entertain you in efficient ways which minimize the amount that goes to Twitch.

I've been disincentivizing Twitch Subs for a few years now. And incentivizing anything outside of the Twitch Eco-system like: 🔹Kofi Subs - I do $3, $5, and $10 (with a $5 Sub I see $4.70+) 🔹Merch - We make ALL of our own merch in our workshop 🔹Art - Artist need to eat. Art is work and has Value 🔹Patreon - I don't have one The Split for your streamer is always going to be better! The only thing I've suggested is Twitch Turbo, Its the cost of 2 Subs, it gets the viewer 100% Ad free viewing, the streamer still gets the Ad Revenue + a small bonus, assorted features like rewind, and if you watch enough Channels Twitch basically loses money on it. This allows Viewers to take all the money they save on Twitch Subs and put it in their streamers pockets in a far more efficient way.

Okay a tiny thread because people are going to freak out: This exploit in particular takes advantage of a special command that renders images (via attribute escape). If you have an overlay that processes images (most don't) then yes, this is your problem. Overlay must explicitly create img DOM.

A picture of the exploit, using a command that explicitly includes an image file extension, but also would escape out of the src attribute of an image such than an onerror attribute can be added to the img tag. This onerror attribute can run explicit javascript immediately. Default behavior for most chat widgets is if you have an image it will not attempt to modify image links into actual HTML image tags. Your overlay/overlay service must explicitly be doing this for you.
