My youngest son apparently posses “pre-shit clarity”: he has to poop so bad it causes a trance like state that allows him mentat level clarity and abilities in the game Clue, ending with the right guess quick so he can end the game and move those bowels.
For me, irony is desperately needing to use the rest room at Barnes and Noble. All those books, taunting me. I am unable to ready any of them on the bowl.

Powerful stuff and another strong example of just how crappy most police are; feels like 90% of the time it’s luck that gets a perp, not any skill of the dept or its investigators.

Youngest has Trypanophobia pretty bad; immunizations due for school this year. He looked to some peers for reassurance and as preteen/teen boys are apt to do, they ripped on him instead. He was feeling pretty low yesterday. Being 12 ain’t easy.

I am left with about 0 faith in mankind lately. I understand people will die. I just can’t fathom encouraging it to happen and actively looking for ways to add cruelty to the equation. No matter how much money or power I might have or the actions would net me.
The biggest takeaway from #intothewoodchipper by @nenrich.bsky.social is: sometimes in life, there really isn’t anything you can do to improve a situation. You’re there to bear witness, and take an accounting. And maybe if we’re all very lucky, by doing so in the future things will be better.

You know what always works and *never* radicalizes a population? Total attack on their infrastructure and population. Totally works. No need to look for any sort of historical precedent on if it’s a risk. Eyeroll.
Numbers are great; Nix is not a top 5 QB though. That’s not as big a diss as it seems. You don’t have to have a top 5 to win a SB. Nix can’t make the same types of throws. You understand his limits and build around it. I could not care less about the comparisons so long as we win.
