I recently asked @anneliesedoddsmp.bsky.social to write to the Department for Transport about why TVP are unable to retain fine revenues to invest in speeding enforcement. The response was disappointing. Police forces will never prioritise speed enforcement unless they can afford to cover costs.

Fab to see the new perch bench by the Howard Street (southbound) bus stop finally installed. It may have only taken 18 months, but time well spent! A perfect spot to take the weight off whilst waiting for a bus to the Kassam, Wallingford or Reading.

Reported several spouts of flytipping on my recent walk around of Townsend Sq and Donnington Bridge Rd. These has been reported for removal. Flytipping can be reported on www.fixmystreet.com New community wardens funded by the Labour City Council will clamp down on this.

Fantastic to see the first ‘cycle street’ being introduced in Cambridge. Disappointing that Oxfordshire County Council is only interested in rural routes for its new ‘Quiet Routes’. Barracks Lane and Meadow Lane would be prime candidates for safety improvements.
