Accidentally watched the anime end of #JoJo part 6, all the emotions rushed back and actually made me tear up. Now I really want to watch it(only read Part 6).
Watched #AlienRomulus, which asked the question what if the true parasite was corporatism all along? An Alien movie by number but I loved the designs, aesthetics and camera work The movie looks fantastic Too long tho, last bit/monster wasnt needed Loved the use of face huggers & acid blood in this.

Watched the 2022 movie, Prey- It's about a comanche girl proving herself against nature's vilest beast French people. Also there's a predator, which is cool, too. Fantastic action movie, a fun and tense watch, with some great visuals. Also there's a good doggo. 8.5/10
Recalled that one time from 10-12 years ago, when I called Ubisoft sexist, and even my friends said I was being too much- Only for the sexual assault cases inside Ubisoft to be revealed years later, w/ insides how producers really not caring for the idea of an AC game with only a female protagonist.

It's a question mark how much of #OnePiece was planned or was created on a whim, but the reason why it still works is how Oda manages to connect dots years down the line. Experienced fans are motivated to go back & new fans can see the pay off of plot points over the span of hundreds of chapters.

You should be allowed to "disagree" with the story/telling of media, w/o going to say it's problematic- Like I don't like what/how #Expedition33 and #MHA tried to tell what their messages were Not being a hater, just have different values & ideas for those kind of themes and just disagree with them.
But I think the BIGGEST reason why I personally have a sore spot for #Naruto, especially in comparison to Bleach- When being evil became an Uchiha gene Then it wasn't about trauma or nihilism anymore, it was just how the Uchiha cannot deal with pain on a genetic level & turned the whole themes moot.
Personally, I did fell out of love for #Naruto, bc I actually did enjoy its early focus on the world building, and politics and having a big cast I do get the change of focus on Sasuke nowadays, but even then, his stupid eyeballs make him so much less appealing bc he feels more like an author's pet.

Started to wonder about something, Sasuke from #Naruto was pretty popular among female fans, but also generally pretty hated. I wonder if you can correlate this to Twilight somehow, which got super popular thanks to female readers but was also HEAVILY dunked on by pop culture of its time.
A critic for #Bleach that got lost over the years, was how its pacing was glacial thanks to the weekly release Nowadays you either can read the multiple volumes a day or watch the anime But one(!) big reason why Bleach fell out of favor was how goddamn slow its pacing originally was.

A while ago I've re-read both #Naruto (until the time skip) and #Bleach (until the end of Soul Society Arc)- Not only did I forgot how great both manga could be at their best, but also see how they gained so much good will to last that long! The Soul Society & the Land of Waves arc are still iconic!
