Consolidation is killing our industry. The Gamergaters who make money off the rage game will have you think this is a victory. This is purely a loss. A loss of work and art and fun and expression in a space that desperately needs it. Massive fucking bummer.

For more than 30 years, BioWare has been more than a studio. It has been a home for storytellers, developers, an the players who brought our worlds to life. Baldur's Gate. Neverwinter Nights. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Dragon Age. Mass Effect. Anthem. Now, after more than three decades of shared adventures, BioWare is closing and early development on the next Mass Effect project is ending. There is nothing easy about writing those words. Our focu right now is on our incredibly talented team who put thei hearts into these games, and supporting one another through this transition. What generations of BioWare built together is something t celebrate and remember. These games became so much mor because you played them, debated your choices, fell in love with the characters, and made these worlds your own.

I literally don't have words for the news of EA closing Bioware. Unconscionable, incompetent, soulless decision-making. May everyone involved in these decision suffer Renegade interrupts for the rest of their lives.

Awesome, just my fear of drowning and claustrophobia compounded with my trauma from that shot from Jaws 3-D from inside the mouth of the shark. Except, now it's a big ass whale... Anyways, 4 stars. Had some dead dad stuff that made me teary. 👍🏻

Loving the new Carrie show on Prime so far! The modernization is great and adds so much new depth to the story. There's already twists that I'm very curious to see where it will go. Stoked to watch the rest.

Zach Cregger’s RESIDENT EVIL is outstanding. Far and away one of the best video game adaptations I’ve ever seen, and also one of the best horror comedies I’ve ever seen. Cannot believe how many hilarious beats this movie has without ever diminishing the stakes or sheer terror of the situation.

Hey! So after seventeen and a half years, October 2nd will be my last day at IGN. It was genuinely a dream come true to do this thing for so long alongside some of the most talented people on earth. I got to travel the world, meet my heroes, and make a ton of really fun shows and videos. An honor ♥️

IGN has survived and thrived because of the talent, passion, and commitment of the people behind its content. Unfortunately, the company has time and time again demonstrated that it believes that to be an abundant, easily replaceable resource. Sending positive vibes to all those impacted.

Layoffs should be humiliating for leadership. The geniuses at the top, with their big fat salaries, couldn’t budget and strategize to good enough to keep the only thing that matters about a company: its people. I truly wonder if Ziff Davis leadership is embarrassed. Somehow, I doubt it.

Laying off Seth and Brian in one go is fucking insane, and during BlizzCon????? Diabolical fucking work. Both of them are, quite frankly everyone on editorial and production are some of the loveliest people in the game. Absolute gems.
