I love how weirdly calm everyone involved is. The guy pulled over is in a world of his own, is barely aware he's even driving a car. The police officer is clearly sorely tempted to say "if you don't like being pulled over, have considered not committing crimes???"

I've noticed some parallels between 3 recent news stories, but there's absolutely no way I'm talking about it on here because I don't want to spend all day saying "no, I am not saying they're even remotely the same thing, I have noticed one very small similarity" a thousand times
My dad and his wife invited so many people to their wedding reception, it turns out they weren't even sure all the people there were invited. Random gatecrashers, little bit of face blindness, or people they haven't seen in years who look different? Anyway, a good time was had by all!
Wondered why the article I was reading about this month's eclipse was so childish and patronising. Turned out it was from Newsround
This isn't as precarious as it looks, but weirdly it being so wonky hasn't affected our aim as much as we expected. Maybe we're all rubbish at it (except @hammers091.bsky.social, who is still in the lead and no-one else has come close)

I don't even know what my great-grandparents were doing at that point, I'd love to go back and see. Especially as the tale of how one of them ended up living in the UK 20 or so years later is a strange one, I'd like to be able to fill in the details

Toddlers are easily pleased, and I mean this in the best way possible. Sitting next to Postman Pat for a couple of minutes makes it the best day of their lives. Every new day is an adventure

Other than a small panic where it looked like the bride's mother might have needed an ambulance (nope, just dizzy from champagne and the heat), it was as picture-perfect as I had imagined. The ceremony was for close family only, the reception next week will be very different, can't wait!

Loved it! I think it helped that I only knew the vaguest outline of the story of the Odyssey, so all the worries about faithfulness to the source material passed me by and we could just enjoy the film

I do like that immediate after Haaland got told to stop pulling shirts he instead opted to push shirts instead. You just know he was a menace as a child and/or would do great on Taskmaster.
Last time we played a Nordic country in a World Cup quarter final, I went for a walk, because I didn't want to watch if we lost. Got to hear the reaction from all the goals while walking past houses and pubs, loved it. Shame it's not exactly practical for a 10pm kickoff. Same result again, please!
The train after mine is a steam train, so there are people with cameras at every level crossing and bridge along the route, it's so strange
