The frustrating thing about time investment in dissertations is there is /always/ something more you can do. Knowing when to stop without guilt is a skill. Add more data? Improve that explanation? More code documentation? Add an experiment to the appendix? Hard to gauge diminishing effort returns.

The mental burnout is real. Getting through this dissertation is so mentally taxing in ways I wasn't prepared for. 🤯 Its not even stressful or worrying. You just feel like you can't think straight, and downtime hours are just wall-staring. Just to get 8 hours of production out of your brain a day.

My character for a friend's upcoming campaign - Pala, a faun druid from a secluded forest whose love for all life is boundless. They're all too eager to learn what wonders the outside world holds, but might be a bit unprepared for some of the realities. #art #oc

A gangly faun character, a little more antelope-like than goat-like, beaming with enthusiasm (and displaying chipped buck teeth in the process). They have bushy long red hair, the sidelocks turned into long braids, and wear a long green-and-blue tasseled cape. The staff they clutch is a long, gnarled tree branch, with shelf fungi growing on one corner, a woodpecker poking out of a hole in the next, and a rhinoceros beetle clinging on at the end.
