I have known Le Porge since I was a child. Much of it is now ash. We were warned this would come. We kept burning fossil fuels anyway. Adapting to this is not a plan. Stopping the cause is.

There is an iron curtain today, and that's between business leaders, boardroom members, finance people, politicians on the one side, and scientists on the other. I think there is too little dialogue across these parts of our society. Instead, everybody seems to be lost in AI hallucinations.

I would like to discuss this with the CEO and the boardroom members of major oil companies, as well as politicians. I just don't think they understand. The artist Sting sang the song 'Russians' in the 1980s, but the new title with new lyrics should be 'Leaders'. www.theguardian.com/environment/...
