I find myself thinking a lot about the past lately, specifically the one time I went to the wrong terminal at the airport and had to run half a mile to my gate with like 4 huge bags. When I got in line at security, I heard a TSA walkie go off "USB for enhanced screening" and I was pulled aside 1/3

My kid has been playing "yoshi egg" in silence for about 10 minutes while I fold laundry. The only thing he has said since starting is "now I'm ready to see a real life Yoshi" dude is committed to the bit

Two related headlines and no hope for anyone involved to connect the dots and fix it: Multnomah County proposes closing nearly a third of its homeless shelter beds next year ($87M deficit) & Portland's new city administrator addresses discovery of over $100M in unspent housing funds

My 4 year old is getting into D&D so we're running a little campaign with his preschool friends. From the game last night, it's the dark wizard Broccolius, leader of the Veggie Cabal, and his henchmen the Sprout Twins and Gary Garlic

Did a fancy dinner, cucumber caprese carpaccio salad w/ burrata. I need to take a plating class, I know this could look fancier, but it was 🤌 I usually do a Mediterranean-style cubed/chopped thing with the tomatoes and cucumbers, but I think the texture of the thin slice layers kicked it up a notch.

An attempt at fancy plating for a cucumber tomato burrata salad. Cucumber slices are on the bottom, topped with a fan of alternating red and yellow heirloom tomatoes. A whole burrata sits in the middle of the fan, with one more slice of tomato leaned up against. Salt, black pepper, and three types of balsamic vinegar garnish the dish.A second image of the dish and place setting, along with a glass of red wine

This number is clearly too big right? How much cocaine do you use? This assumes that every cocaine user in the US would have used ~1lb of cocaine so far this year, and that's just the confiscated amount. Maybe I'm just a baby, but this can't be correct. WHAT IS A NORMAL AMOUNT OF COCAINE?
