This actually might just be defamation. Abdul El-Sayed might have a legitimate defamation case against his Republican opponent.
The Republican primary is in line with the 2024 Democratic Senate primary, which got 933,844 votes. The 2026 Democratic Senate primary is set to fly past 1.5 million votes. That's a massive difference.
“One thing that has to have Michigan Democrats excited even as the Senate race remains uncalled is the turnout for the contest. The Democratic Senate primary has more than 1.5 million votes counted as of early Wednesday. The competitive Republican primary for governor had around 930,000 votes.”
Okay, we won, but this is a wake-up call. Abdul El-Sayed was expected in the polling aggregate to win by around 15 points, not 1.3 points. However, AES got more votes than Elissa Slotkin in her primary. What this overall has shaped out to be is there was a large shy Stevens vote that came through.

In-person vote is looking to save AES. Wayne County went from +30 Steve ns when the mail-ins dropped, down to +18 Stevens now. 46% of the vote currently in statewide. I'm starting to feel more comfortable.
Big massive dumps for Stevens. AES has to make it up with the election day in-person vote.
Mail in votes in Detroit coming in big for Stevens. We'll see if that keeps her alive.
Is this a Stevens mirage? So, early votes go to her and then El-Sayed sweeps the ED votes? Because currently as I'm writing this, AES is only up by 3 statewide 34.5% of the vote in so far.
Another one of Stevens' strongest counties is St. Joseph, where she's only losing the ED by 1.5%. She's winning mail by 16, which is most of what is remaining (and from her stronger areas of the counties).
And Abdul El-Sayed from the top rope! Hits the Washentaw County Splash, and goes for the cover! 1... 2... 3... HE'S DONE IT! Abdul El-Sayed is your new Michigan Democratic Champion!
So, there's a loophole because Todd Blanche was confirmed as Deputy Attorney General that he can sit indefinitely as Acting Attorney General. So this is just pointless grandstanding, token resistance, Susan Collins can be eternally concerned and it costs her nothing.
Republican Sen. Susan Collins says she will oppose Todd Blanche’s nomination for attorney general. “Mr. Blanche has taken several actions that have further eroded the Department’s independence, and that is the basis for my vote to oppose his confirmation.”Collins said
I believe the Mitch McConnell pictures are real, in that he's technically "alive", but his stroke caused him irreparable brain damage so that's why they can't make a video as proof of life. The best they can do is get a picture where he appears to be okay. He's basically being puppeted.

Everyone telling @govandybeshear.bsky.social to appoint a Democrat to fill McConnell's Senate seat doesn't realise he can't. Kentucky is one of five states that requires a special election to fill Senate vacancies.

Just as I thought... Trump and Israel despise Spain, and Trump wants a narrative to reinforce his immigration crackdowns. This was a deliberate plot organised by the US, Israel and Morocco decided to get in on it to bolster relations with the US. It would explain a lot for sure.

Incredible. In normal circumstances this whole thing would be a massive embarrassment to the DOJ and the US Attorney in charge of the case.
