Day 235. Added merits-earning functionality to Tobu Tobu Bouzu. I'm not happy with how it interrupts the cutscene, so I'll be revisiting this in the future. But this is all I had time for today.

Better @lardratboy.bsky.social I think if I can find a way to slam this into Sega CD WRAM (haven't updated my resource loader on the Sega CD end yet, but when I checked with just the backgrounds converted it fit), it would be a pretty decent port. Still unsure why SoMI used passwords though

Taught my SCUMM v5 interpreter how to read the Sega CD data files of my WIP port of Monkey Island 2. I need to optimize actor palettes differently, but I think it's shaping up nicely.

So while playing around with my disk image inspector, I found that there's quite a number of old PET disk images (e.g., at Bo Zimmerman's site) with files starting at $400 and a trailing extra byte of $24 after the actual end of program – all the hallmarks of files written by the BASIC 1 ROM. 1/3
