"jobs r no longer such a major part of characters' identities bc the characters themselves aren't meant to have strong identities. Rather than creating & tending to full-fledged fictional beings whose 3-dimensional selves propel story, writers focus on plot to the virtual exclusion of all else" #GH
Jeff Giles@jefito.com · 4w agoThis edition of Critical Diagnosis is late because I spent a lot of Labor Day weekend wondering what there is to say about #GH right now... and thinking about the show's relationship with the depiction of labor in general: diagnosisdaytime.blogspot.com/2026/09/crit...
"Here you are, dear." 🤣🤣🤣 I hope Christine Tudor Newman is having a great holiday weekend!!! #Loving
#OLTL Sep 01. An honest to God Dan Wolek name drop in 2001. It would’ve been so easy to say “because he was love with Jamie Sanders instead.” 😂😂
#OLTL Aug 01. These poor girls could barely get through their goodbye scene 😭😭 So happy they did these flashbacks for Gina leaving.
In honour of me reaching Gina Tognoni's final episode as Kelly Cramer on #OLTL (until that brief return in 2011) - here's one of my absolute favourite Kelly/Joey scenes from 1995.
Sam 🦢@slowtuesdays.bsky.social · 11mo ago#OLTL Nov 95. Look, they were never *my* ship, but Year 1 of Joey/Kelly was pretty damn great. This is a top tier scene. 😂
Ladies and gentlemen, let’s remember the time Celine Dion’s Power of Love seemingly killed a desperately bland soap character. 😂😂 #OLTL

THIS! And I knew that TPTB weren't serious about her when they never brought her mother to the canvas, whether it would be someone from Marcus' past, i.e., Gail or Faith, or someone entirely new. #DAYS
Sam 🦢@slowtuesdays.bsky.social · 2mo agoI keep thinking about how badly Days fumbled the character of Jada ... a POC, related to a classic 80s character while still able to make current ties on canvas, in a relationship with a legacy character that was/is popular with fans ... just an all around fumble.
#OLTL Aug 01. Oh god, I forgot about the whole 'Lindsay pays to make a voyeuristic website of Cristian' aka hottiebaresall . com Y'know, how are modern US soaps not doing an onlyfans story right now?
January 26, 1989. Viki, Tina, Cord, Gabrielle, Roger Gordon, Wade Coleman, Leo & Christine Cromwell, and Michael Grande all find Eterna at the exact same time. Helluva group. Posting the whole scene because I can. #OLTL
#AllMyChildren 90. An insanely good scene where they talk about a newspaper article but set everything up for the house of cards to fall soon. *This* is how social issues story dialogue should be done.
