Just finished. I don’t think I’ve personally ever read a book with a character like this. Made me anxious and terrified and angry and sad all at once. A book I could only read in bits and pieces because it overwhelmed me at times, but at the same time it was a book i couldn’t put down. #booksky

I’m about 130 pages into Yesteryear and it is SO anxiety-inducing so far I don’t know how to feel about it. #currentlyreading #booksky

#OLTL Aug 01. I love the fact that someone in the writers' room had the good idea to bring Larry Wolek back on canvas for a blip just so he can be Blair's doctor and be - once again! for the third time! - suspicious of her due date.

#AllMyChildren Nov 90. The actor playing Jeremy is ... not the best but I do appreciate that he's Quebecois and the show made him Quebecois instead of French (how often does *that* happen, right?). Anyway, I'm looking forward to Jeremy seducing his son's fiancé lmao

I keep thinking about how badly Days fumbled the character of Jada ... a POC, related to a classic 80s character while still able to make current ties on canvas, in a relationship with a legacy character that was/is popular with fans ... just an all around fumble.

#AllMyChildren Oct 90. Random observations: - GF as Ceara is fabulous! - Ceara & Jack actually work really well together ? I know it goes in a different direction, but I like them. - Based on the amount of moralizing Jack did in the 00s, I never would've guessed he was the black sheep of the family

#OLTL 2001 was ready to serve up the 80s on a platter but soaps as a genre and viewers weren’t quite ready for that. I think the nostalgia factor didn’t quite land until mid-00s, when ratings were a little more dire. Anyway, Gabrielle Medina was nonetheless ready to serve. 🫡

#OLTL Jul 01. The show is never clear (and didn't need to be) about when Sam found out Matthew wasn't his - BUT watching everything in hindsight - Sam advising Blair about biological paternity rights for unborn Jack - adds a little something special. An easter egg kind of.

#OLTL Jul 01. I know KDP speaks highly of Tomlin's era here for a few reasons, but god, this is the point where Blair becomes a woebegone heroine who is so fully unsure of herself, it's kind of terrible. I'm kind of surprised at my younger self for seeing this as my first era of TnB & loving them.

I think I lost some rare OLTL bloopers when my hard-drive crashed. 😭 Some of the YT files have since gone private, I think. They were, like, 20-minute short films that the crew put together at the end of each year for the show holiday party, I think.
