i was under the impression that a representative democracy is structured to allow each district to elect representatives that embody the will of its people and that that will is communicated through the votes of those who care enough to cast one?
We need moderates in moderate districts. But the idea that Democrats need to continue to triangulate and be shackled by Reaganism is gone. Comparing illiberal authoritarianism to people who advocate for a more active social welfare state is a false equivalence.

If you think this ends well for country, I believe you're sadly mistaken. Extremism on one side simply fuels opposite growth on other side. We need moderates.
