The robes of the mysterious figure who appears in the Lunch Hall are purple. #talesofolta #NovemberWorldbuilders #FuckTERFMagic

Blue perked up, “I love it! Like a chosen name. That’s amazing.” Waz popped a grape in his mouth. “Is it really chosen if someone forced it on you?” He winked at Woofy, who looked away. Woofy reached over and took the rest of Wadjet’s half-eaten muffin. “The truth is I was just born with ordinary ears that happen to be pointy. But one well-placed lie and people will run with it.” Waz nodded at Mace. “Oy, you seem awfully calm for the kid at the center of the biggest shitstorm the likes of this place has ever seen. Your parents cast some kind of maniacal enchantment on you to keep you from losing it?” Mace rolled her eyes. “It’s called therapy. Not sorcery.” “Did you get your schedule yet?” Blue asked Mace. “Clearly not,” Wadjet declared. “Schedules are determined after you get to your house, they’ll probably…” Her voice trailed off as she looked up at something behind Mace. Waz’s eyes grew large, and he looked down at his plate, diverting his gaze.  Mace opened her mouth to speak when the two senior boys whom Headmaster Dalton had been whispering to approached the table. Their robes were each trimmed in shining metal fabric, one silver and the other gold. “Mace Morningstar, The Assembly has asked—" Just then, the room went silent and dark. The light through the windows dimmed, and the food seemed to pale in color. The candle flames on the tables and in the chandeliers took on a strange rainbow flame. The doors to the lunchroom opened by themselves with a thunderous boom. A figure in billowing deep purple robes poured into the room as if being pulled by the air. The robes were trimmed with the same strange geometric language Mace had seenon the Revelations Chamber floor. The hooded figure did not look up or reveal itself as it traveled the length of the room.  The flowing purple fabric lifted and moved like swarming tentacles held by an invisible force. Blue stared and shivered. The blue from her robes began to stain purple at the edges. She quickly looked away, and the purple stain withdrew from the fabric of her robe. The shy boy next to Waz clung to the wand under his blue robe while staring at the purple sorcerer. Unlike Blue, the boy was not lucky enough to know how to look away. A stain of purple engulfed his robes, and the flesh of his face changed from olive to a deathly pale, matching the colorlessness of the diamonds in a pendant he wore around his neck. As the flowing robes approached Mace, the figure stopped. The robes hung still, as if filmed in slow-motion mid-flight. No one moved. A delicate, golden-gloved hand raised from beneath one of the purple sleeves and felt the air as if to examine its texture. Then, abruptly, the moment of stillness ended. The figure resumed walking and passed out of the other side of the Lunch Hall. The students looked at one another, their eyes wide with shock. Woofy reached out to touch Mace’s hand, but Blue wagged her finger, warning him not to do anything. Inhaling deeply, Mace stood, and the senior boys in trimmed robes led her from the underclassman lunch room. Mace glanced back at the table, where her eyes met Blue’s… whose expression was one of fear.

#NovemberWorldbuilders, today is all about that PURPLE! Tell me about something in your world which is that most royal of colors. 💜 As always, any shade/hue applies, and I don't care to distinguish purple and violet for a prompt game, so if it's *technically violet*, then please include it, too!

A natural arch connects two pieces of land, and there is a robed man standing on the arch, watching the ship

When elected officials claim ignorance on major subjects, why is the follow up not “is this job too much for you, and will you be resigning since you’re unable to keep up with critical information?”

Sometimes updates to the Patreon don’t deserve a whole post about it. But we still make the upgrades regardless. I remember when it was silly graphics I barely flopped together. To now have professional graphics that were made for the project. So cool.
