Excited to have work featured in the upcoming @3x3mag.bsky.social Illustration Annual, I’ll have one piece in print and others in the online gallery — many thanks to this year’s jury! Merit Winner: “ICE OUT” — poster created for an exhibition and fundraiser in Minneapolis, MN curated by ArtYouHeart
Thankful that the wildfire smoke has cleared for now
Loved collecting all the amazing zines, stickers, cards, promos, etc at @iconconference.bsky.social — but maybe the real leave-behinds are the friends we made along the way ✨🤔✨
Mainstage highlights from this past weekend’s @iconconference.bsky.social in Baltimore! 💛💜💙 Loved the chance to soak up wisdom from so many incredible illustrators, art directors, and creative voices.
Getting the chance to speak at the @iconconference.bsky.social this past weekend was an absolute dream come true!! Many thanks to everyone who came up to say hello afterwards, I loved chatting about pencils, process, and puzzles with you all.
It’s been ages since I last updated my lil’ intro post, so I thought it was time to reintroduce myself 👋
More murders in both Texas and Maine within the past week — fuck ICE forever
Just make it exist first, you can make it good later
Process steps from this poster design ❤️💙💚 I often describe my illustration approach as purposefully making a mess, then slowly cleaning it up step by step.
Had the pleasure of drawing the poster for The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy film series at @trylon.org here in Minneapolis, featuring Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End 🧟♂️ 👮🏼♂️ 🤖

Do you like hotdogs? AND shop in the greater Massachusetts regional retail market?? AND want limited-edition commemorative packaging illustrated by yours truly??? Well, if you’re the person at the center of that very specific venn diagram — have I got a deal for YOU 🌭
Sketch explorations from this year’s Pride design for the Aliveness Project ❤️
Always a pleasure to partner with the Aliveness Project for Pride! 🌻 This is our third collaboration and it’s still such a cool feeling to see this work out in the world.

The Minneapolis bathhouse ban is HISTORY!! This past Pride weekend the Bathhouse Repeal Ordinance was signed into law, officially ending the prohibition.
Today the Minneapolis city council will hear public comments regarding the effort to overturn the city’s outdated and homophobic bathhouse ban. This policy was enacted in 1988 during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, when fear and stigma shaped public policy.
In celebration of #PrideMonth, we’re highlighting a collection of @brianbritigan.bsky.social's editorial, publishing, and institutional projects that support the LGBTQ+ community and tell important stories of queer experiences. Happy #Pride! 🏳️🌈

This past Friday was the final day of MicroVisions 9, which is also the final show from @wowxwowgallery.bsky.social — it has me feeling nostalgic and thinking about the piece I created for WOW x WOW’s very first MicroVisions show way back in 2018...
So cool to see all the photos and footage from the return of “ICE OUT Protest Art Projections” at the Witch’s Hat water tower from earlier this week!
Today’s the final day of “Love in the Time of Resistance” at Co-Prosperity in Chicago — it’s truly an honor to have a piece of my work included in this traveling snapshot of Minnesota’s visual response to ICE violence. 📸: Chan C. Smith
Process steps from this piece for MicroVisions 9 from WOW x WOW 🐝 The drawing was made with colored pencils on a small wood panel, alternating with layers of ultra-matte medium and a final addition of acrylic paint for the background.
Here’s my contribution to MicroVisions 9 from WOW X WOW 🐝 The online group exhibition of small artworks runs through May 22nd “Sunny Side” — Mixed media on wood panel, 6” x 6” (very happy to report that this piece has already sold!)

Hoping that this is the last of our winter weather here in Minneapolis 🤞😬
Forgot to post this lil’ black-and-white piece from the start of the year 🔥🏠🏠🏠 Big thanks to AD Vinnie Neuberg for the NYT Second Look spot!
