one of the most frustrating things in artmaking is having an idea/concept you *know* is excellent but you aslo know you don't have the skills required to properly do it justice

The Minneapolis bathhouse ban is HISTORY!! This past Pride weekend the Bathhouse Repeal Ordinance was signed into law, officially ending the prohibition.

Today the Minneapolis city council will hear public comments regarding the effort to overturn the city’s outdated and homophobic bathhouse ban. This policy was enacted in 1988 during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, when fear and stigma shaped public policy.

This past Friday was the final day of MicroVisions 9, which is also the final show from @wowxwowgallery.bsky.social — it has me feeling nostalgic and thinking about the piece I created for WOW x WOW’s very first MicroVisions show way back in 2018...
