In honor of Canada v Morocco, here’s my grandfather and two of his brothers with their Chinese Canadian football team in 1929. The club organized a successful school strike to oppose racial segregation in the Victoria, BC schools.

This group of locally born young men initiated the students' strike and were the first to use publicly the term 'Chinese Canadian' to describe themselves.
