Sales slowed down for a little while there. Then I remembered I hadn't updated my email sequences and automations in a while. Turns out customers still read emails.

If you feel like you have to review every line of code AI writes, the bottleneck isn't AI. It's micromanagement. Move that energy into planning and verification. Own the what and the proof. Let the agent own the how. That's what unlocks bigger builds.

Build Kits solve the blank page problem for builders. Pre-scoped specs, designs, and ready-made prompts for building common apps. Use them as starting points and customize your build. Members get access to the growing collection: https://buildermethods.com/kits

Build Kits | Ready-made starter kits for shipping AI apps

Build Kits are ready-to-build starter kits for shipping real apps, tools, and products with AI — each with pre-shaped specs, designs, prompts, and video guides.

Unpopular opinion: A domain expert who can't code is MORE qualified to build tools for their field than a pro developer is. If you know your problem space better than most, you're way ahead. Building is learnable.

"It's too expensive to build my own tool for that."...No longer applies. The busywork you assumed as just part of the job could be a weekend build (think of what could you replace that busywork with?)

In flywrite.app, your AI agents are one keystroke away. Launchers open a new terminal with something already running: a plain shell, Claude Code, or Codex — each on its own shortcut. Add launchers for your own commands, and remap any keyboard shortcut in settings.

Bootstrapped SaaS in particular should lean into (and show) their team's AI adoption as another reason why it's worth buying from them (vs "the big guys"). It signals: We ship/iterate faster. Our product is agent-ready. We're here to stay. Can't say the same about most bigs.

Your writing app should look like yours. In flywrite.app you can pick any font installed on your Mac with a live preview as you choose. Build full custom themes, down to every color, font size, and weight.

New in flywrite.app: click any image, video, or audio file in your project and it opens right in the editor — zoom images, scrub video, play audio. And it refreshes live so you can watch your agent generate visuals in real time.

New in flywrite.app: put images right in your writing. Paste a screenshot, drag a file in, or click the Img button — the picture appears right in your document. Files land in an images folder near your doc (configurable).

Reworking my email automation flows this week. Kit's UI is painful to use (literally, my back and wrist hurt from clicking so much). So I trained some agent skills to do all the legwork in my Kit account for me. Discuss strategy, design & plan. Let an agent implement.

Subtle but helpful: When toggling between the file editor and terminal in flywrite.app the top line of each lightens/darkens. That lets me know which is active so that I can manage the tabs in each using the same keyboard shortcuts (all customizeable btw).

Funnel analytics SaaS have always required heavy (expensive) custom dev work to track the right data, cohorts, and filters. Without that work, the reports aren't actionable and often misleading. Built my own with Fable today. During lunch.

Favorite alternative to Wispr Flow for voice dictation? Too many papercuts lately. Looking for better support for dictionary, better context (know when I speak mid-sentence etc.) and better keyboard customizeability.
