แถลงการณ์ร่วม 16 องค์กร คัดค้านการเยือนประเทศไทยของ มิน อ่อง หล่าย ผลประโยชน์ของประชาชน ต้องมาก่อนผลประโยชน์ของรัฐบาลทหารเมียนมา ลงนามองค์กร Solidarity Collective TH SEM (Spirit in Education movement) Milk Tea Alliance Thailand FemSamYan Socialgaze. สมัชชาคนจน คณะทำงานติดตามความรับผิดชอบการลงทุนข้ามพรมแดน (ETOs Watch Coalition) กลุ่มเพื่อนต่อต้านเผด็จการ (Friends Against Dictatorship: FAD) ภาคีเซฟบางกลอย กลุ่ม 24 มิถุนาประชาธิปไตย เครือข่าย​ติดตา​มเฝ้าระวัง​โครง​การพัฒนา​ปา​ตานี​ The​ Patani​ วงสามัญชน กอผือรื้อเผด็จการ เฟมินิสต์ปลาแดก Thai for Palestineพวกเราขอคัดค้านการเดินทางเยือนประเทศไทยของ มิน อ่อง หล่าย ในวันที่ 6-7 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2569 เพื่อกระชับความร่วมมือและหารือปัญหาแนวชายแดน เนื่องจาก มิน อ่อง หล่าย คือ ผู้นำรัฐบาลทหารเมียนมา ผู้ซึ่งการดำรงอยู่ของระบอบได้แลกมาด้วยความรุนแรงต่อประชาชน การละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชนอย่างเป็นระบบ และอาชญากรรมสงครามที่ยังคงคร่าชีวิตผู้คนอย่างต่อเนื่อง ตลอดหลายปีที่ผ่านมา วิกฤตในเมียนมาไม่ได้เป็นเพียงปัญหาภายในประเทศ หากแต่ส่งผลกระทบต่อผู้คนทั่วทั้งภูมิภาค ทั้งการพลัดถิ่นของผู้ลี้ภัย การสูญเสียชีวิตและวิถีชีวิตของผู้คนนับล้าน ความไม่มั่นคงบริเวณชายแดน การค้ามนุษย์ และผลกระทบต่อประชาชนทั้งในประเทศเมียนมาและประเทศไทย การมอบความชอบธรรมหรือผลประโยชน์ให้รัฐบาลทหารเมียนมา ไม่ได้ทำให้ภูมิภาคสงบสุข หากกลับยิ่งยืดเยื้อความรุนแรง หล่อเลี้ยงสงคราม และทำให้ประชาชนต้องเผชิญความทุกข์ทรมานต่อไป ความมั่นคงที่แท้จริงของประเทศไทยและภูมิภาค ไม่อาจเกิดขึ้นได้จากการสนับสนุนรัฐบาลที่ใช้ความรุนแรงกับประชาชนของตนเอง แต่ต้องตั้งอยู่บนสันติภาพ ความยุติธรรม และการเคารพศักดิ์ศรีความเป็นมนุษย์ พวกเราจึงเรียกร้องให้รัฐบาลไทย - หยุดส่งผ่านรายได้และผลประโยชน์ให้รัฐบาลทหารเมียนมา พร้อมทบทวนความร่วมมือและข้อตกลงที่เอื้อประโยชน์หรือสร้างความชอบธรรมให้รัฐบาลทหารเมียนมา - รับฟังข้อเรียกร้องของแรงงานเมียนมาในประเทศไทย โดยอำนวยความสะดวกและผ่อนปรนข้อกำหนดเพื่อป้องกันการหลุดจากระบบของแรงงานที่ถูกกฎหมาย และไม่ผลักภาระให้แรงงานต้องพึ่งพาระบบที่สร้างรายได้แก่รัฐบาลทหารเมียนมา - สนับสนุนความช่วยเหลือด้านมนุษยธรรมที่เป็นอิสระ โดยผลักดันให้ความช่วยเหลือจากนานาชาติสามารถเข้าถึงประชาชนในเมียนมาได้โดยตรง โดยไม่ต้องผ่านรัฐบาลทหารเมียนมา - ปฏิเสธการสร้างความชอบธรรมให้รัฐบาลทหารเมียนมาและผู้นำที่ไม่ได้มาจากเสียงของประชาชน การเลือกตั้งภายใต้การควบคุมของกองทัพ ซึ่งมีการจำกัดการแข่งขันทางการเมือง ปราบปรามผู้เห็นต่าง และไม่ครอบคลุมพื้นที่ทั่วประเทศ ไม่อาจถือเป็นกระบวนการประชาธิปไตยที่แท้จริง - คัดค้านการคืนบทบาทหรือสร้างความชอบธรรมให้รัฐบาลทหารเมียนมาในอาเซียน จนกว่ารัฐบาลของเมียนมาจะยุติความรุนแรงต่อประชาชน และเดินหน้าสู่การฟื้นฟูระบอบประชาธิปไตยอย่างแท้จริง เราขอเรียกร้องให้อาเซียนดำเนินบทบาทที่จริงจังในการยุติความรุนแรง และยืนหยัดต่อหลักการที่ว่า การยึดอำนาจด้วยกำลังและการใช้ความรุนแรงต่อประชาชนไม่ควรได้รับการยอมรับหรือสร้างความชอบธรรมผ่านเวทีระหว่างประเทศ ท้ายที่สุด วิกฤตเมียนมาไม่ใช่เพียงปัญหาของประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน แต่เป็นปัญหาของภูมิภาคทั้งหมด ต้นตอของวิกฤตคือรัฐบาลทหารที่เลือกทำสงครามกับประชาชนของตนเอง พร้อมทั้งมิน อ่อง หล่ายได้ถูกกล่าวหาและยื่นหมายจับในเวทีระหว่างประเทศแล้วว่ามีส่วนรับผิดชอบต่ออาชญากรรมสงครามและอาชญากรรมต่อมนุษยชาติ ประเทศไทยไม่ควรดำเนินนโยบายที่สร้างประโยชน์ต่อรัฐบาลทหารเมียนมา หรือถูกมองว่าเลือกยืนอยู่ข้างผู้ก่อความรุนแรงต่อประชาชนและอาชญากรรมสงคราม การสร้างสันติภาพที่ยั่งยืนต้องเริ่มจากการไม่มอบความชอบธรรมแก่ผู้ละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชน และยืนหยัดเคียงข้างประชาชนผู้ได้รับผลกระทบจากสงคราม เพราะความมั่นคงของประชาชนไทย ไม่อาจแยกขาดจากความปลอดภัยของประชาชนเมียนมา หยุดสนับสนุนรัฐบาลทหารเมียนมา เพื่อสันติภาพ ศักดิ์ศรีความเป็นมนุษย์ และอนาคตร่วมกันของภูมิภาค

Not at all surprising that there will apparently be a major protest against #Myanmar military junta chief Min Aung Hlaing when he comes to #Bangkok tomorrow. Protest will be in front of the United Nations office, starting at 13:00. Thai officials should let the protest proceed w/o interference!

FNVA Talks featuring Dr. Gerald Roche on the theme: “Intensifying Language Oppression in Tibet: From Invasion to Ethnic Unity.” Dr. Gerald Roche is a Lecturer in Linguistics at La Trobe University, Australia, and a linguistic anthropologist specialising in Tibet. He is the author of The Politics of Language Oppression in Tibet, editor of the Routledge Handbook of Language Revitalization, and has published over 30 academic articles. His research focuses on language policy, minority rights, and linguistic justice. In this talk, Dr. Roche will explore how language policies in Tibet have evolved from the early years of Chinese rule to the contemporary emphasis on “Ethnic Unity,” examining their implications for Tibetan identity, education, and cultural survival.
