Last night, my wife and I saw Tori Amos at The Met in Philly. This was my third time seeing her, and it was a great show, with a set list that spanned her long and storied career. Also, The Met is one of the few Philly music venues I’ve not been to until last night. What a gorgeous space!

I'm not in Michigan, and Dem MI voters have the right to vote for whomever they want, but my concern is that the primary is getting so nasty it's going to cost a Senate seat. I see no way for the Dems to flip control of the Senate in November if they lose a seat in MI. There's no path.

It's been a few days since I've seen The Odyssey, and I already can't wait to see it again, just for that sequence with Circe alone!
I loved Nolan’s adaptation of The Odyssey. The film has a lot to say about PTSD, memory, and narrative. Really gorgeous looking on the big screen, too. It does a nice job depicting the duality of Odysseus as well.
In honor of the magnificent Sam Neill, I want to reshare my review of Jurassic Park (1993), a film that is designed for a communal cinema experience and is a perfect example of the magic of movies. Neill's legacy is immense and lives on in every child he inspired to never let go of wonder.
