If there is a second pandemic, the US is going to be screwed. There is no plan other than to let it burn through the population while these jokers sell a healthy diet (i.e. all beef) and exercise as the cure. And maybe some unrelated drug that makes you poop yourself raw in a Walmart.
BASH: How do you prepare for next pandemic? RFK Jr: We did almost everything wrong B: But what about now? K: We need to protect our rights B: ? K: During covid we dismantled our rights B: But I'm asking what *to* do K: You were part of the problem B: You want to sit here and attack me?

One thing that bums me out about Online these days is that I love reading stuff and discussing it, because I really like having conversations with people and understanding how they think. But the meta right now feels so geared towards judgmental armchair psychoanalysis.
I used to love The Discourse™, and now, I’m just exhausted by it. Every time it kicks up, I have to play detective to figure out wtf everyone is talking about, and it makes me want to just delete these dumb apps off my phone forever. I hope the proposed MySpace revival is good.
Today is the official release of Halo: Campaign Evolved, but does it feel like it? One overlooked aspect of the "Pay us extra and you can play the game the week before" strategy is it often feels like the social media conversation is over before the game even launches.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam or Alice In Chains I was gonna post Live's "Throwing Copper" but I followed this thread and saw it had already been posted. So instead, here's AFI's "Black Sails in the Sunset".
In which I run down the recent chatter from Hamaguchi and Yoshida regarding a hypothetical Final Fantasy VI remake.
A Final Fantasy VI remake could be tricky to make, according to a couple of prominent Final Fantasy directors gameinformer.com/2026/07/27/a...
Hamaguchi told me last month he wouldn't want to direct a hypothetical Final Fantasy VI Remake (gameinformer.com/2026/06/12/w...), and now we have Yoshi-P saying he thinks it would be super tricky.
We Asked Final Fantasy VII Revelation Director Naoki Hamaguchi What's Next For Him
Naoki Hamaguchi has devoted a large portion of his career to the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, so with the subseries nearing its end, we asked him what could be next.

A Final Fantasy 6 remake is a difficult prospect because it would need four or five games to do the story justice, Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshida says. "I understand the feelings of the players, but you’ve got to think about it," he says. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/a-final...
I don't think it's good that politicians, journalists and corporations continue to use the platform of the richest man in the world, who has shown his willingness to spend those riches putting his thumb on the scales of democracies across the globe, when he is an open white supremacist

@lukethomas.bsky.social you mentioned Dr. Doom/Thanos this week. It immediately brought to mind this famous scene from the comics. Also, any chance of the politics live chat on the podcast feed? I typically listen while I’m doing other things and it would make it easier. Thanks for all you do!
What if someone told you there's MORE than one horse? Have you ever considered that?
