My son was wearing a "Vote Reform" t-shirt and an "I love Nigel" baseball hat. He's been spat at, abused, slapped around the head and told he's a brainless twat. God knows what's going to happen to him once he gets out of the house...

El-Sayed: "My commitment to Jewish safety is the same commitment that I have to the safety of my own daughters. Because if there is one question of political philosophy that ought to animate us all, it's what would we do if we treated all our kids like they were all of our kids?"

its very telling that the mainstream media narrative is that dsa has wacky and unreasonable positions when the republican party position is that abortion should be banned, latino families should be put in concentration camps, black people should be shot by cops and transgender people shouldnt exist

BREAKING: Donavan McKinney has defeated incumbent Shri Thanedar in the MI-13 Democratic Primary! McKinney is an unapologetic progressive while Thanedar is a pro AIPAC pro genocide corporate puppet. A huge win for working people in MI!

Like if the threshold for "allowance" under the First Amendment right is "parody" or "satire" against a public figure then what's stopping Sean Hannity from simply plucking a random activist from a crowd to be nudified en masse? When does someone become a public figure?

I'm thinking once again about how Taylor Lorenz thinks that the anti-nudify bill is an affront to First Amendment rights because it restricts your ability to make satirical nudes of public figures like Trump. Right Wingers would just make *any woman* into a "public figure" so they could nudify her.

A lot of white Americans seem to think that all Muslims are responsible for 9/11, and really, that every non-white group is responsible for anything bad anyone from that group has ever done

pleased to announce that I've been hired by The New York Times. my job is to commission articles written by right-wing politicians, activists, and billionaires where they describe their activities in whatever way they see fit. it's nice because I don't have to edit or fact check anything

idk man, i’m not pro-military or anything but in a country that strokes itself over war and military power, i think it’s baffling that they put citizenship status before the fact that some of the people they’re deporting literally fought and risked their life to serve this country.

if establishment candidates want to start winning primaries again all you have to do is say that rich people have too much money and that youll prosecute trump admin staffers and republicans that have broken the law
