A meow

МЯУУУУ! he/they. Sometimes feel like a she. But only sometimes.

It's a pity I can't travel now. Feeling the strong urge to find a tourist trap and spend $200 on useless & strange plastic things. I'm playing Two Point Museum. Building the Gift Shop in each museum brings that kid feeling of needing all the souvenirs.

Walked into the kitchen at midnight to find a raccoon doing her best to break into the cat food container. She stared at me. I stared at her. Then she sullenly walked off. Time to latch the cat door at night. I liked seeing the possums break in for free cat food. But raccoons, no.

Thinking tycoon games should implement an "executive suite" room / building. Ongoing costs of 10% of revenue. Reduces work speed & morale by 5%. But the graphics are very enticing and it gives 10% to an empty stat like "Prestige." Thus many players will build it.

Woke up this morning. Rolled over and told the wife: "The wedding was great. But for some reason, grandpa dressed like a samurai." "Isn't your grandfather dead?" "Yeah, but that wouldn't stop him from coming to the wedding." "Whose wedding?" But I was already back asleep.

Going mad but very quietly. The madness isn't the least bit interesting. Other people see great wheels of fire in the sky. For me, just catch glimpses of a tasteless celestial marmalade.

Wish a California criminal defense attorney would do a series on Columbo. Going episode by episode and showing how each murderer would skate due to Columbo violating procedure or only having the most circumstantial evidence.

Always creepy walking past the cryogenic chambers at night. They're in their icy blue coffins. Their still faces visible in little yellow windows. Hundreds in a row. Last night, one had their eyes open. They winked at me.

As I play yet another indie open world game, I'll never cease to be amazed at how the mind can find beauty and grandeur in what is just simple perlin noise.

Maybe the most fun thing to do in games with a photo mode is to create a dozen photos and then stitch them together into a large landscape. Nothing more fun than seeing the details of cities which have never existed.

Made a panorama of a set of skyscrapers from the game Transport Fever 2. The camera view is roughly at the 20th story level. Many of the buildings have their top levels cut off. Most of the landscape are clusters of tall buildings but there's a small patch of green to the upper right. In the center, is a residential skyscraper with a house-like pitched roof on the top. A small touch of something akin to home in what is otherwise an almost cold view of buildings. Some of the buildings, including the one in the center, are giving off clouds of steam. Must be chilly in this imaginary world.

Played Transport Fever 2 all weekend. Feeling a weird parasocial connection with whoever did the track laying algorithms. This person is now simultaneously my kindest best friend, and my mocking, utterly mad best friend. I imagine them in Zurich, looking at train tracks, and laughing endlessly.

One of the inhabited caves on Titan is known as the Gardens. An unsurprisingly lush place where individuals and groups make settlements free of central planning.

Kansas. Standing by the old quarry. Heard owl hoots. The occasional coyote yip. Fortunately, did not hear any footsteps. That's the sort of place where Hitchhiker would show up. Ask you for a light. And then no one would ever see you again.

Slightly blurry photo of northern lights. Red curtains of light fringed with pink. Below the red are a few clouds tinged with a greenish white light. I think that's light pollution from a nearby village and not part of the aurora. Below the green white band of light is the black horizon. A single tree breaks it up. Next to the tree are a line of powerline poles. Also as black as the horizon.

Thinking being a ghost isn't so bad. Would go over to the in-laws house and try to trigger their motion detection lights in a morse code pattern. Encoding something creepy like "I'm alf and i'm here to eat your cats!!" But probably wouldn't work. Mainly because I don't know morse. They don't either

The simplest fix? Work the refs. Try to control the narrative. Don’t subject yourself to questions that would force you to take an unpopular stand. Don’t acknowledge the real trade-off behind the reconciliation bill and the grievous harms it will inflict on Kansans. #ksleg

Dreamed the ghost of David Lynch came to visit. Told me he's partnering with Mark Frost again. This time, they're going to remake Quincy ME. "I think newer generations need a medical examiner," he said in a ghost whisper.

Mega Mecha Bear. The final boss of Medieval Dynasty. Surrounded by a thousand bandits who worship her daily. Guarded by five hundred rabid wisents. Led by a little girl priestess who cries out: "blood for the bear god! honey tarts for me!"
