This. I don't think anyone is really anti-AI. They're anti-the-companies-pushing-AI. LLMs have some really incredible use cases. They can be assistive technologies, help with mental load, and allow you to focus more on the present than an endless stream of tasks or your phone.
Annie Sexton@anniesexton.com · 2d agoCrappy morning. I find LLMs really beneficial in certain areas of my life, but a lot of people think AI use of any kind is the devil. While this is irritating, what frustrates me more is knowing the real problem is the companies trying to shove this crap up every orifice of our lives. I'm so tired.

A manual refresh button would be a good start! cc @jay.bsky.team @pfrazee.com

I love this idea 👀👀 There are enough things out there where it's like "I wish this problem was just solved for atproto". The other day, privacy policies and terms of use for apps came up in the group working group. It'd be so nice to have an interoperable standard for that devs could just use.
