“Oh! We forgot to call you and reschedule.” - my rheumatologist’s office after I spent an hour and a half commuting in the rain to my twice a year appointment for an autoimmune disease. OH OKAY COOL NO PROBLEM WHO CARES NOT ME

After avoiding her for nearly a year and a half, I saw the Black Female Trumpie who was (I kid you not) listening to the 20th anniversary edition of Beyoncé’s “B-Day” album and refused to look me in the eye. You can’t make this shit up! “I don’t remember you being a Beyoncé fan!” I said.

I can’t believe I met part of the 8%. Used to think they were just a myth. Now I know they’re the folks online in Shaderoom comments calling Beyoncé “demonic” (something that cracked woman also said).

I am so goddamn tired of this reckless, violent patriarchical, hypermasculine bullshit destroying people’s lives. Destroying children’s lives. WHEN ARE WE GOING TO ADDRESS THE ACTUAL FUCKING ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM OF WHO IS DOING THIS?

Deep insight into yourself, even (or maybe especially) when it is painful, can be so freeing. You’re not wrong. It’s not all in your head. This IS how it is, even when it sucks. Now you can move forward.

Apparently, it’s “off putting” for me to tell a man I have a switchblade in my purse when he asks “why it’s so heavy.” I also mentioned my inhaler, EpiPen and wallet, but I guess those aren’t as interesting. 😒

Mom: I think you’ll like that show. It’s right up your alley. Me: what’s that supposed to mean? Mom: You know, it’s got a crazy evil lady in it. You and I always like those kind of shows. YES WE DO! 😂

I read a journal entry out loud to my therapist who said she was “riveted” and that it was “better than the last thing” she “got on kindle.” “Never stop writing!” And it was just me writing about a situationship.
