A little cottontail rabbit visiting the garden. A surprise to see it as we typically don't see many rabbits in the garden, though I have seen several on my walks with the dogs lately. ❤️🐰❤️ #mammals

Female lazuli bunting at the water dish. #birds Water = Life❤️ This is the first year the lazuli buntings have stayed for Summer. I hope this becomes a thing for them. Range map shows I'm on the very edge of their breeding grounds.

Rufous hummingbird packing on the micrograms as she drinks. Video is sped up as it's easier to see the little bird gain some weight/size from a couple of minutes drinking sugar nectar. #birds

The last hummingbird and first hummingbird to the feeder. Probably a juvenile male rufous. Each morning the sounds of hummingbirds fill the air, it then quietens down a bit around lunch time then ramps back up again for the evening feedings. #birds

This was the last water source to be cleaned this morning, I swear this spotted towhee was watching & waiting for that to happen. I saw him, 6ft away standing on a rock, he didn't move as I took dish, cleaned it, replaced it then I heard him in the water. #birds Came out later to get camera card.

Timeline cleanse: Black bear with 2 cubs edition !!! Water = Life ❤️ We don't feed our wildlife but we do provide clean, fresh water 24/7/365 in various water bowls, dishes and birdbaths. #mammals Stay safe bear family.

Seeing Mrs Flicker having a splash was quite the treat, they typically don't get in the birdbath. I'm in a hybrid zone here so this male has red whiskers and some red on nape, most of the male flickers here don't have red on nape. #birds Water = Life ❤️ Temp max 94F

Male juvenile rufous hummingbird at the feeder today. We now have a robust number of hummingbirds around the feeders and flowers all day. Still not at the numbers we saw several years ago but better than last year. They arrive at the feeders around 5:30am. #birds
