Mama black bear and her cub visiting the water bowl early this morning. ❤️🐻❤️ #mammals Water = Life ❤️
Sound down 🔊⬇️🔉 Raccoon dust up off screen but enough dust passes the camera. 🤣 Bonus bark from my dog. #mammals
A little cottontail rabbit visiting the garden. A surprise to see it as we typically don't see many rabbits in the garden, though I have seen several on my walks with the dogs lately. ❤️🐰❤️ #mammals
#MarsupialMonday #EasternGreyKangaroo #WildOz We have a JOEY !!! 🦘🥰🤗 This isn't my regular Mama Roo, although she & her juvenile were present with this new mama amongst a mob of 7 roos outside my house tonight, including an impressive buck. Cuteness overload! Spring is on its way. Blessed Be.💕🌿🌷
Waiting for the third Agent of Chaos before heading off to parts unknown. #mammals
The kids were up in the high country this weekend and saw 3 beavers while on their way. Cell phone video with zoom. #mammals
Female lazuli bunting at the water dish. #birds Water = Life❤️ This is the first year the lazuli buntings have stayed for Summer. I hope this becomes a thing for them. Range map shows I'm on the very edge of their breeding grounds.
The art of surface tension gliding perfected. This time of year they've learnt how to glide on the water, interesting to see it tap the water with its antennae before taking off. I've seen this a lot. I'm guessing it's to check surface adhesion so it can break free from the water safely.
Finished a build I've been working on for 360 camera, it's a quick deployment, all in one bag, 5 minute, one person job & camera is up 11+ feet. Main pole has 3 guide lines. It's extremely stable & over engineered as usual 🤣 Then I can view the output on my VR headset in 360. Test run was perfect.
Timelapse. light breeze at times, overall very calm night 4 o'clock plant/flowers show movement behavior called nyctinasty. They open in the evening, stay awake and open all night for night bugs & moths then close up to "sleep" during the daylight hours. I love this plant ❤️ I grew it from a seed.
Black bear visiting the garden. ❤️🐻❤️ Water = Life ❤️ #mammals
Rufous hummingbird packing on the micrograms as she drinks. Video is sped up as it's easier to see the little bird gain some weight/size from a couple of minutes drinking sugar nectar. #birds
Male Calliope hummingbird. #birds It's the smallest bird in the United States. It weighs about one-third as much as the smallest North American warblers and about the same as a ping pong ball!
Pupdate: all stitches out today. Wearing a t-shirt for 5 days to avoid licking main site, he’ll wear a sock too to help healing. Vet was very pleased with his recovery. Foot growth was not cancer 👍
Timeline cleanse: Raccoon edition. After all this they walked off happily together. I was surprised they kept it all so quiet, perhaps they like to get things sorted without drawing attention to themselves. #mammals
Caption this! The Browning Trail Camera caught this masked visitor looking like he has something to say... 😂 Drop your best caption in the comments—but let's keep it clean and family-friendly! We can't wait to see what you come up with. Image: @cameratrapsue.bsky.social
Raccoon kit reflection. It was quiet in the garden last night, perhaps due to a good storm with decent rain, hopefully more of the same tonight. #mammals
Timeline cleanse: Spotted towhee edition. #birds They are the last to use the water dish and the first to it in the morning, and yes, the rocks have been changed out as the dish got a thorough cleaning the other day. Water = Life ❤️
Timeline cleanse: Black bear edition. This female black bear was really thirsty when she came into the garden, overnight temp was around 70F. Water = Life ❤️ #mammals
The mule deer triplets looking nice and healthy. ❤️ I met up with them in the garden as I went out to check mail so I quickly went back in again so as not to stress them out. Such a privilege to see them.
Ready for weird video time? Hang on to your hats this one is wild. I wanted to see if I could get a pattern with all the colors of my house, garden, sky, surroundings. I'm pleased with the results and as always, your mileage may vary (by a lot 😂). #youhavegonetoofarthistimeSue
Anticipating the sugar water perhaps. Juvie male or female rufous hummingbird with tongue out. #birds
Mud dauber, I think. I just found watching it have a good clean to be interesting. My camera isn't set up for 'bugs' this small so I'm pleased it did this well. It wasn't 131F but in the mid 90's F, camera sits in the sun and temp sensor becomes inaccurate.
Julius Cheeser 2.0 would like everyone to know he has moved house. His mail should now be sent to: Mr Julius Cheeser Railroad tie #3 The Raccoonobahn, Colorado. #mammals
Small storm this evening, lightning was in rain/haze/mist and mostly cloud to cloud but every now and again we got a bolt or two though obscured a bit by the haze. Still, fun to watch with my dog (who is recovering very well from the surgery).
Either this American robin shakes water off like my dog or my dog shakes water off like an American robin. 🤣 Temp was 88F not 100F, camera sits in the sun so temp sensor reads high. #birds

A different view of a rufous hummingbird (juvie male or female). It's mid spin before it takes off from the feeder, screenshot from the browning 60fps video. Night shot due to storms as camera switched to IR early, however I think I prefer B&W for this shot. We got 0.52in rain!! #birds
