In FY 2026, the U.S. has admitted a total of 7,727 white South Africans, three Afghans (back in November), and nobody else. For reference, the U.S. admitted 100,060 refugees in 2024.

I know we're all* numb to this by now, but it really needs to be said that any one of the batshit insane tyrant tweets from our special little boy would've led to swift efforts to remove any other previous president.

As a reminder, Democrats picked up 41 seats in the House in 2018, while losing two seats in the Senate. We should see a bigger pickup in both chambers this time, to put it mildly. But do not get cocky and coast here. Run through the tape.

was talking about this recently with an ex-congressman (an old timer from the 80s and 90s) and one of the remarkable things about this cycle is that trump has given his party absolutely nothing to run on. no bill to tout, no accomplishment to hype, no nothing.
It’s a simple tactic— but it works basically 100% of the time! 😁
