A microscopic annoyance that forever irks me is the discrepancies between the 'Get it on Google Play' and 'Download on the App Store' badges. I hate how they're so similar, yet fail to have any cohesion. They always look awful when placed together, and I cop psychic damage each time I see them.

I wrote about which AI tools I use for coding (and design + some other stuff): bryanhogan.com/blog/ai-codi... Currently mostly using Codex and Claude Code in VSCode as extensions. OpenCode Go and Ollama Cloud (Kimi, GLM, DeepSeek, Qwen, MiniMax and MiMo) are also worth a look. #webdev #dev #blog

Nowadays I find AI also highly capable of writing Svelte code. Claude was good at it for a long time, Codex with the Svelte MCP works well also. Have been using it to build apps: bryanhogan.com/blog/web-to-... Want to try the OpenCode Go subscription and test out the cheaper Chinese models next.
your token costs: lower your server costs: lower your bandwidth costs: lower not to mention the fact that you'll ship in half the time and tear out less hair in the process. just use @svelte.dev, people. it's like other frameworks but better

If you don't have time to read it, the tl;dr is, if there are educational content creators you value, let them know. They might write, make videos, or anything else. Times are tough, and talented people are fading away. A few encouraging words from a real person can make a huge difference.

I wanted to a simple timer for time-boxing that just work. No account, 100% free, no ads, no distraction, just a sequential timer. I originally built it more than a year ago, but have updated it with some improvements now. ➡️ timer.bryanhogan.com #buildinpublic #webdev #indiedev

I think for consistency I will have to go with a vertical form layout, title first, form element in the next row. Putting small elements (e.g. checkboxes) next to the title feels inconsistent. But if I do stack all I'm using up a lot of vertical space.. Any ideas? #buildinpublic #webdev #dev
