Having an absolutely brutal little spell. Sorry to be out of it for a little while folks. Hoping to pick things up and return to them soon.

Do you hear that? That's the simultaneous exasperated sighs of thousands of users.
Shout out to the guy who lives near me and leaves his bong on a small niche outside his bedroom window where he thinks nobody can see it.
When I go around dropping tabs from different dealers to compare, people say I've got a problem, but browsers used to go around doing so-called 'Acid Tests' with impunity. Times have changed, I suppose. Either that or double standards.
I'm compiling a list of slurs for some content filtering at present and I feel that I'm walking through a minefield. So many edge cases and cultural differences. Such a tricky topic to navigate. No idea where I'm going to host the list either.
I made an app! What Can't I Press helps you discover what keyboard shortcuts are already claimed by running apps, with a focus on screen readers. This helps prevent you from overriding something someone might rely on to get what they want or need. #a11y github.com/ericwbailey/...

We were somewhere around line 23,494 on the edge of the framework when the caffeine began to take hold. I remember saying something like 'I feel a bit lightheaded; maybe you should code...' And suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us and the screen was full of compilation errors.

Funky new stuff on Vale.Rocks! Firstly, I now expose what games I'm playing and what films and television I'm watching: vale.rocks/posts/the-im... Secondly, I created a mini-API for all my off-site content to narrow things down to a single source of truth: vale.rocks/posts/the-im...
I've completely overhauled my Neovim plugin for developing with Web Origami (and moved it to Tangled). It has all the fancy LSP stuff you'd expect to facilitate autocomplete, some syntax highlighting, and jumping to definitions. tangled.org/vale.rocks/w... #Nvim #Neovim

When I was new to VR and still getting my 'VR legs', I just full sent it into a port of Quake. Let me tell you, running, gunning, and jumping about with reckless abandon in virtual reality Quake makes your body adapt really quick.
I needed to show a formula in a recent post, so I had to add proper mathematics display and handling to my site. One particular feature I've added is advanced copying, so formulas can be pasted as either LaTeX or MathML markup, depending. I've documented it all here: vale.rocks/posts/the-im...

Personally extremely disappointed to see Mozilla proudly and cheerfully announcing that Firefox is active again on X (formerly Twitter).
Always confused by people/organisations who measure productivity or effort with Git commits. There are so many different approaches to commiting that it seems a completely meaningless metric. Certainly nothing to brag about.
Amen brother. I get this a lot, too. “How do you make your animations?” HTML, CSS, JS. The web already has everything you need to make the most beautiful and engaging content in the world. No batteries needed.
