Desperately want to go walk up into the mountains except I live in Ohio.

The story of the next several years is going to be SaaS companies realizing they can’t offer all these generative features without passing those costs onto their customers in order to preserve their historically high margins, which will in turn drive customers away.
Canva cut its 2026 revenue growth forecast to 20% after unexpectedly heavy AI use drove up costs. The company is now trying to make its AI products cheaper before growth can reaccelerate. Full story: https://thein.fo/458WMBp
Sometimes I think about this post and it makes me laugh and laugh and laugh
NYT stating this like it’s normal when it’s absolutely berserk.
Listen to season 2 of blowback.show if you’d like to learn a little bit about the US’ absolutely deranged behavior toward Cuba going back decades.
NYT stating this like it’s normal when it’s absolutely berserk.
Our last two Mazdas were pretty seamless purchases mostly because we bought new and had credit high enough to qualify for the good manufacturer financing. Simply less ways to get knifed and the finance office guy immediately realized i wasn’t saying yes to any of his warranty bullshit.
holy moly the comments on this about dealerships
So funny to be the easiest "who's that pokemon?" on the list of "guys who should be most worried about getting recognized by most of humanity"
Who could it be?
Guardians leave ELEVEN guys stranded and lose to the Mets who suck ass.
Americans are so desperate for a socialist government that even a guy who’s like “no I’m not a socialist but I think we should probably tax rich guys and give poor people healthcare” can put up Assad numbers

Listened to the podcast version of the interview yesterday and would recommend it. Also really appreciated that Paz fully admits his naivete on taking the job in the first place and reckons with that during the interview.
Jonathan Paz’s job was to convince cities to buy Flock cameras. After initially being enthusiastic about the company, he started to get disillusioned.
Watching Princess Bride on TV, a movie I’ve probably seen a dozen plus times, and I feel like I’m losing my mind from the number little cuts and adjustments they are doing to shave time to fit it to their desired schedule/number of commercial breaks.
When I learned that the Fair marketing department were the judges for this contest everything clicked into place.
The Ohio State Fair had a poster contest. The winner was awarded $1000. I present to you, the winner:
Me looking at my phone before 7AM and seeing the Dodgers got Skubal
No offense and a bullpen seemingly in shambles making it a rough night to be a Guardians fan.
I don’t even have kids and this sounds hopelessly pathetic.
Never looking at that Claude logo the same again
Have you ever noticed that most of the major AI company logos look like buttholes? For my Sick Burns Friday post, I judged and ranked each of them based on how much they resemble hole: www.burnsnotice.com/ai-company-l...
As I will repeat till I blue in the face, the data centers they are trying to build now are orders of magnitude larger than what powered the Internet that preceded the LLM boom and they can't even prove that any of it can be run profitably.
Husted: "We have created the demand for these data centers bc we use all these digital products, and if we don't want them, then don't use them. I mean, you can go back to the bunny ear antenna on your TV, you don't need a data center ... understand, when we look in the mirror, we are the problem."
Adjacent to this story, we're going to see some incredible instances of legal cases where one party's insistence on using AI to document everything creates the damning paper trail that would not exist otherwise. Truly can't wait for that. "Claude, I know it's illegal to do _______, but what if..."
Tons of peoples' Claude chats are exposed on Google. Cryptocurrency keys, API keys, login credentials, legal discussions, more. This happened with ChatGPT last year. And Claude too. There's clearly an ongoing issue with search engines indexing peoples' AI chats www.404media.co/tons-of-peop...
I messed up and watched a few Reels of people memorializing their dogs that passed away and now I keep getting them and it is absolutely fucking me up.
All the Marathon talk on @remapradio.bsky.social has me thinking I should give it a try...
Crazy fun sprint duel by Pogacar and Van Der Poel to end the Tour. Still showing out even though it wouldn't change the GC one bit.
Verstappen more or less saying on the radio "can't believe I got 2nd place in this piece of shit car" is incredibly funny.
Was genuinely shocked that that wasn't a raw milk product.
If I die in anyway that makes news, please don’t write about me like this.
