This was fun! When I perform LOSING MY COURAGE live these days, it’s just me singing the lead a cappella. Fun to revisit the harmonies (or something thereabouts) from the album version! Also realized that I’ve grown accustomed to pushing & pulling with the time instead of being on any sort of grid.
Last night I put two bowls of water outside in my yard here in Nashville, will do so for the rest of the summer when I’m not on tour. For the birds, for the land animals, for whomever. Keeping it in the shade. It’s hot out there, help all beings stay alive!

Recently told someone that I tend to say the most painful / true thing in the bridge, and that’s definitely the case in BIRTHDAYS & BULLSHIT, the loudest track on ADULT CHILD. Loud with grief, though; not anger. People confuse the two. 1/3

As a drummer it’s important to always make the most of an instrumental bridge, especially when it’s in 15! Love that wrote this, and relish any chance to play 4 against 3 on a ride bell against 16ths on the kick drum. Among Monsters is one of our coolest songs @buickaudra.bsky.social ever wrote!

When activated, it seems to boost and brighten the mids, and when set to BUGAWK mode, there’s a noticeable beef / crisis that happens - which of course I love.
