My unpopular opinion is that adults shouldn't automatically give balls to kids unless they already snagged a ball that game or similar. Why should I hand over a foul/home run ball? I probably appreciate it more than the kid does!

My dad was a diehard Phillies fan. Attended hundreds of games, never came close to getting a foul ball. The season after he passed away we lucked into primo seats for a Yankees-Orioles game at Camden Yards. Kid a few seats down snags a fly ball early on. His dad turns to me. “It’s his first game.” 😂

People are understandably talking about the mess at the reflecting pool, but can we take a moment to talk about how cheap the stuff being put up for the “Great American State Fair” looks?

The Orioles are 9-1 in games started by Brandon Young this season. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the last time the O's won 9 of the first 10 games started by a pitcher in a season was in 2008, when they won 9 of Daniel Cabrera’s first 10 starts.
