we talked about this more at the time but initially a lot of the ppl who died were in big blue cities and were not white. this is not incidental to the revisionist and eugenicist nonsense we hear now.

this boils down to "the pandemic didn't actually happen but they still closed the applebees" which frankly i think is a trauma response by a lot of people that buy it - lot easier to be in denial that things were that bad instead of reckoning with 1.3m dead people [in this country]

The NBA has done basically exactly what people want major league baseball to do, hasn't had a repeat champion in 8 years, teams are blown up constantly because they can't keep all their best players and it hasn't solved any issues people have with the league. Fan discontent is as high as ever

I understand the cynicism, but there used to be an understanding that the Dept of Interior, for example, didn’t knowingly pass along bad data or scrubbed information from their archives. This is different. I understand Republicans have been bad forever but this is different & a new precedent
