Really glad that Apple added Spatial mode to photos because the one thing I’ve been missing in my life is my phone prompting me to look at a photo I forgot existed with an effect that makes me ask, “Am I asleep or having a stroke?”

I have spent the last week being reminded how fragile we all are. So, I guess the takeaway is take care of yourself, be nice, and ask for /offer help as needed. Doesn’t really seem that hard, does it?

We are the LARGEST union in trade publishing history, and we want better for our workers in order to make a sea change for creatives everywhere. Let's take a stand together against the existential threats to the arts, whether stagnating wages, the AI slop machine, and destructive layoffs.

I saw Godfather Part 2 for the first time yesterday, at Lincoln Center. Was blown away by the film, and by Robert Duvall in particular. To find out that he has passed today is deeply moving. I can’t think of another actor quite like him.

Medicare for All would save $450B a year. Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity. Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall. It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford. It’s about priorities.
