But the bottom line is, there's no need for China to influence anything. A recent Gallup poll found that 71% of Americans would oppose AI data center construction in their community. And unlike a lot of issues in this country right now, the Partisan split isn't even all that great.

it's a crushing day at NPR. we're losing some people i've been listening to since before i ever dreamed i'd do radio myself. it's a blow to NPR and i fear to journalism.
