I used to share an office with someone who would get extremely jealous whenever our coworkers paid more attention to me than to her. Just thinking about how when anyone would express sympathies to me about my long and pricy commute, she would make up a hypothetical person who had it worse than me

To all staff and affiliates: please mark your calendars and save the date for the worst team-building outing of all time. OTHERLING, my second horror novel for adults, is coming your way in Fall 2028.

An announcement for my new book OTHERLING, a workplace doppelgänger horror novel

Was thinking about adaptations with The Odyssey and the upcoming Flanagan Carrie series and trying to articulate why I’ll allow totally doing one’s own thing in some adaptations versus others… and I truly think it comes down to ‘if you’re doing something interesting, you can do anything you want.’

Delighted to report that Hokum was SO good. Damian McCarthy is becoming one of my favorite horror directors and this might’ve been my favorite of his: loved that he set up Adam Scott’s character as an Unlikable Horror Protagonist and then made a few smart choices to make us root for him.

Happy Pride to one and all!! I saw some folks talking about their coming out stories on social media, which made me think fondly about how there were people I straight up forgot to come out to
