Kind of funny and eerie to be reminded that ‘There Will Come Soft Rains’ takes place in 2026, given that I think of that story every time I see two Twitter bots having a conversation

I used to share an office with someone who would get extremely jealous whenever our coworkers paid more attention to me than to her. Just thinking about how when anyone would express sympathies to me about my long and pricy commute, she would make up a hypothetical person who had it worse than me
[staring into space] Chiwetel Ejiofor was so good in BACKROOMS
I’m watching the Ciaran Hinds Persuasion for the first time and man. Jane Austen was really On One when she wrote this book
There’s a microphone in the seat pocket of this Uber and I was so scared that this was about to be a game show
Whatever they’re doing with Chris Evans’s styling in the new Marvel is looking way more Ransom Knives Out than Steve Rogers
ICYMI - I have released the worksonas and they are ready for violence

I’m sure Other Mommy is going to be suitably creepy, but this is one case where the book is always gonna be scarier
I want to and will see the Nolan Odyssey, but also, feeling a pretty powerful urge to rewatch O Brother Where Art Thou this weekend
Was thinking about adaptations with The Odyssey and the upcoming Flanagan Carrie series and trying to articulate why I’ll allow totally doing one’s own thing in some adaptations versus others… and I truly think it comes down to ‘if you’re doing something interesting, you can do anything you want.’
I get it, but it feels so wrong to show ID for non-alcoholic beer. I could get drunker off vanilla extract
Just watched the Paranormal Activity stage play and I feel like a kid at Christmas. Those practical effects had me GASPING
Louis and Armand trying to sell Daniel on their love in season two while they were both actively obsessed with other people is actually so funny
I can’t believe that the conceit of Exit 8 was ‘absentee fathers end up in the Absentee Father Subway Station’
Just saw someone on Twitter get a Widow’s Bay swag box for making a viral post about it and I’m sick with envy honestly
Sometimes I think about Interview with the Vampire season two episode one where Louis tells Claudia "if you were the last vampire on earth it would be enough" and then the camera slowly pans over to the unblinking ghost of Lestat next to her. Yeah.

Delighted to report that Hokum was SO good. Damian McCarthy is becoming one of my favorite horror directors and this might’ve been my favorite of his: loved that he set up Adam Scott’s character as an Unlikable Horror Protagonist and then made a few smart choices to make us root for him.
As I watch Widow’s Bay I keep trying to gather evidence about which New England state the island belongs to
So so sad about Anthony Head :((( That Buffy-Giles relationship was the heart of the show to me, and he gave that character such heart and pathos and the perfect occasional moral ambiguity. And by all accounts he was so sweet to the fans.
The sweet and wonderful dog at my gym wasn’t in today because he’s adjusting to the new dose of his anxiety meds. He’s so me
Happy Pride to one and all!! I saw some folks talking about their coming out stories on social media, which made me think fondly about how there were people I straight up forgot to come out to
