So Badenoch would recruit a neo-Nazi but *not* someone who didn’t want to leave the ECHR or someone who supported our NetZero commitments. Second chances for this guy but not Dominic Grieve. The Tory party is truly wretched. It’s screwed the country, betrayed its own and lost its tiny mind.

Badenoch defends former neo-Nazi pick as council candidate
By Will Meakin-Durrant
Kemi Badenoch has said her party
"believes in second chances".
, after
the Conservatives selected a former neo-Nazi once jailed for harassing a Jewish former MP as a local election candidate.
Joshua Bonehill-Paine
posted on social media that he was "tremendously proud" that he has been chosen to stand for election to Somerset Coun-cil, in the Crewkerne South ward.
Bonehill-Paine (inset) was jailed in 2016 after he was convicted of racially aggravated harassment.
He wrote several blog posts about the former Labour MP for Liverpool Wavertree, Baroness Luciana Berger, labelling her "an evil money-grabber" with a "deep-rooted hatred of men".

He was previously jailed for producing an ad illustrated with a picture of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz, which promised "an absolute gas" at a rally in Golders Green, north London.
Badenoch said: "I want to be very clear - and I think people can look at me and know that I'm not a person who would be recruiting neo-Nazis.
"Josh is someone who actually has been certified by the Home Office to train police officers on antisemitism and on countering extremism.
"Yes, he [has] previously convicted but he has shown contrition for his crimes, has been rehabilitated and is spending every day working to solve the very problem which he knew that he had caused previously.
"And the Conservative Party believes in second chances."

White People have had a hard on for attacking Iran for decades. They finally got their wish and have now depleted their other source of hardness….weapons. The United States is a peak impotence…

Honestly even just speaking generally, this is the type of stuff that makes it really hard for me to feel like a part of any "queer community." I guess if I had to describe it it's like... I feel like I'm *in* community with other queer people, and I can and often do get along well with individual..

The more time passes, and the more I actually exist as a queer person for whom these considerations are of tangible relevance, the more I see the Lungbarrow asexuality discourse as a microcosm of the troubling conflation in the ace community of sex repulsion and sex negativity.

The thing about re-reading a book, or re-watching a movie or a TV show long after you watched it the first time ... You're not wasting your time. You're revisiting something you enjoyed, but with new eyes and a changed understanding. You will pick up themes and messages you missed on first pass.

Every now and then someone takes a run at me along the lines of "I don't understand why you, a scifi writer, don't appreciate 'AI'," and I'm all, motherfucker, it's *because* I'm a science fiction writer I have the positions I have, how many times do we have to fucking yell "torment nexus," my dude

Trump: We're going to resume talks. Iran: No, we are not. 95+% of everything that Trump ever says is a lie. Yet the markets still listen and respond to him. Therefore, the markets are even dumber than Trump. And that's hard to do.

Actually disgusting that nurses were treated like utter shit, overworked and dying during the pandemic and now RFK is on TV telling everyone that didn't happen. I can't even imagine a more thankless, hostile job right now.
