We simply do not know whether ME/CFS is curable, because no one bothered to seriously look into its mechanisms! I'm not blaming researchers here, many are doing God's work, but the money invested in that simply is out of proportion with the years of life in good health lost to the illness.

A note of mine: I agree with the thread in word, but strongly disagree with the framing choice of supporting MAID without pointing out that it is effectively used as a justification to not bother researching, treating, and accomodation chronic illness and associated disabilities.

I had hepatitis from amoxicillin years ago. Yet 2 infectiologists later prescribed amoxicillin. My hepatologist says re-exposure could mean severe liver failure, transplant or death. I caught it. But what about patients who don’t remember their whole medical history? Are they just supposed to die?

So... Are we going to do something... Or not? Massive numbers of deaths are already incoming. Heat-related deaths. Famine. Huge population migrations. So: ARE WE GOING TO ACT? We are already fucked. But we can act to reduce it and make the planet livable again. The choice is up to us.

🌏 🌡️ UN chief: 'The fight for 1.5 degrees is the fight for humanity' The United Nations on Wednesday said the target of limiting global temperature rise to 1.5C above pre-industrial levels would be missed, and outlined how the world might bring temperatures back down once the milestone is breached

Currently trying to relearn Spanish. I studied it in middle and high school and my paternal family is from Barcelona (which helps and doesn’t help with Castilian). I’m doing it to watch Diego Luna’s films and series and to speak Spanish again. And to make my late grandfather, a Barcelonian, happy.

“I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. I’m very difficult to stick because my veins roll very easily.” “Don’t worry, I’m a nurse anesthetist.” “No, not that vein. Almost nobody can get it without a disaster.” “I know what I’m doing, don’t worry.” Result:

Massive, swollen, mottled hematoma

Re-rewatching Andor. "Harvest" is so underrated. The entire final act is among the best of the series. Mon Mothma completely breaking down on Niamos, Cassian arriving seconds too late to save Brasso, everything Bix goes through... The ending is a masterpiece. I cry every time.

Cassian kissing the forehead of Brasso, who died seconds ago.

I lived with constant pain. An anti-CGRP treatment changed my life, but it costs €280/month and still isn’t reimbursed in France, unlike in many countries. On disability pension, I can’t afford it alone. If you can help, donation or repost, it would mean a lot 💙 gofund.me/861a24805
