Tava ouvindo o @npto.bsky.social no foro de teresina lembrar que os bolsonaristas mentiram sobre a urna eletrônica em 22 e é importante mencionar que isso tem impactos concretos de erosão democrática, não é só cortina de fumaça.
As we approach another Presidential election in Brazil, one of the candidates is back to spreading misinformation about the electoral system (yes, I thought we were over this too, but here we go again).

We published a report that used web archives, email digests, and university staff statistics to track the UK academic job market in political science and IR since 2012. It’s part of a broader problem we need to address w/ structural solutions without losing sight of its personal impacts. #polisky

My column in this week's @newstatesman1913.bsky.social, on bad data used in bad faith. FOI-ing the stats myself, I didn't find a great deal of difference in sex offending rates: 5 per 10,000 Afghan men, 7 per 10,000 UK men:

You don't have to believe that the fascists are competent enough to suppress voting everywhere in 2026 or 2028. You just have to believe that they can depress minority turnout in 5-10 cities to affect entire Senate races & the Electoral College. 2024 was decided by 120K votes in 3 states, after all.
