Went to the artist meetup out of desperation to touch grass (it was held indoors due to air quality) but then my landlady said one of the apartments above me had flooded so here i am back home after an hour. None of the water made it to my place this time

I wanted to go to magwest because this year there was going to be friends (that arent curt, that awful man) actually going, but ever since i was in Puerto Rico, i had this gut feeling that with my current health, another trip would actually kill me.
I forget that the reason i feel urges to sleep 13+ hours a day, besides my menopause and mental burnout, is because i had a ton of blood siphoned from me 3 times at the emergency room last week. That will probably take the longest to recover from.

Artist Meetup had a movie night on discord where we watched Johnny Mnemonic back on Friday. it was so painful to watch as a new yorker because last i recall, the Flatiron building and grand central concourse were NOT located in Newark, NJ, but the characters kept insisting they were in Newark.
i forgot to mention i attempted to watch all of Legend of Korra while I was sick. - Skipped half of book 1 since it was cringe - slept through half of book 2 since it was boring - i don't remember much of book 3 except accidental airbenders - book 4 was really good. never again.

recovery progress? the red/pink is now 95% cleared off my eyeballs and i'm just dealing with constantly having to wipe tears off my eyes. Ear is still clogged and the tinnitus is kind of bugging me. Coughing is still a thing but with way less wheezing. and otherwise, i'm just extremely fatigued
I didn't get a lot of screenshots since my Switch ran out of storage space, but I've made it to the Two Town Square currently and I'm really enjoying it. And given that my eyes and ears are both partially-impaired, having full voice acting AND readable subtitles is making this my recovery game.
My friends and I cosplayed as the 1993 Mario Bros. movie cast at Anime NebrasKon (I was the goomba). We took the elevator to the second floor, and the second the doors opened and we walked out, everyone started clapping. It was an awesome moment!

Waiting for the wildfire smog to possibly come hither. Got two air filters because it was cheaper to get a whole ass new air filter than to buy third party refills for my discontinued unit.

I think I haven't drawn a single piece of traditional art in all of 2026 and now world watercolor month is over. I just remember being sick a lot and Marimba making repeated attempts to chew on my paintbrushes.
