I think the key here is motivation. Treasury is claiming we intervened to prop up the Yen, but I'm sure it was to avoid Japan dumping US Treasuries for their intervention, driving up our rates.

I cannot stress enough that the ENTIRETY of the evidence for the lab leak theory is the suspicious behavior of the Chinese government. That's it. The CCP tried to cover up the problem. Can you think of any other governments that behaved strangely at the beginning of the pandemic?
