Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

youtube community post created by me. Text below: I learned about this thought experiment a couple months ago, and it was fascinating to me. Mainly because when I first heard it, I thought the answer was obvious, and that people would be stupid for picking the other option. Surprisingly though, it's actually pretty divisive. The popularity of it has faded since a couple months ago, but I'm still interested in understanding exactly where the divide lies. I have theories that I want to look into and potentially make a video about, but before that, i'd love to get your thoughts. Vote in the poll below with your answer to the thought experiment. Also, if you feel comfortable doing so, leave a comment explaining your reasoning for voting the way you did (this may be used in a future video). If you have NO idea what the hell I'm talking about, a summary of the experiment is below. "The whole of humanity is kidnapped by aliens at the exact same time, and each person ends up in a room, completely alone, with two buttons, one red, one blue. Each person is told that everyone else has to press one of these two buttons as well. Each person must press one of the buttons, and cannot press both. If at least 50% of people press the blue button, everyone is safe. However, if at least 50% of people press the red button, everyone that picked the blue button will die." So.. which button, gamers?two images on top of each other, one with a red button and one with a blue button. These are the options in the poll that's linked in the below post.

the thing about human beings is that we're constantly evolving. Learning the difference between good and bad. Finding ways to be better. It's a process that requires a lot of time, which unfortunately is no longer accounted for when all your historical missteps are easily accessible via the internet

Sin that must be eternally punished is a culturally Christian idea that you can and should reject. If someone admits wrongdoing and changes their behavior, that's the desired outcome. You don't continue to punish because you then signal there's no point to contrition at all, you're damned either way

Sexism is still very much around in the fandom and people need to be called out for it when it’s seen/heard. Woman and femme presenting people belong in the fandom and deserve to feel safe and accepted just like anyone else.

to clarify: i'm not saying there's no point in trying to change things & no valid methods of protest. Money makes the world go round, and so many companies have found a glitch to generate more of it autonomously without giving anything back If our money doesn't matter, we need to find what does
