The internet was my only haven growing up. I had unrestricted access and I saw things that were troubling, terrifying even, but I got to process those and become an adult who does not shelter in ignorance. If not for that access, i might still be in the cult and never know myself
aegisiondure @equalnotequals.com · 14h agothis isn't very popular to say, but for me personally, it was good that i had unrestricted internet access when i was a minor. i was aware of what i was doing and enjoyed it. i don't look back on it and go "well that was a mistake", i look back on it and wish i could do it for the first time again

a lot of people seem to think there is a fundamental inferiority to women that simply isn't true and a lot of those differences are less your biological makeup and more the fact that boys get so much more support, food, and training than girls, that gulf vanishes the more you equalize those things

For the past five months the only refugees the USA has accepted are white South Africans fleeing equality & safety meanwhile they are disappearing or strapping ankle monitors on any Haitian they can get ahold of. It needs to be understood how thoroughly connected these two things are.
