Not many people know this, but in America, the Edinburgh Fringe is called the Edinburgh Bangs.
15) Recommend and review a book... I'm rubbish at reviews other than saying THIS BOOK IS VERY GOOD AND YOU SHOULD READ IT. But if you want good fun (and sometimes nasty) fiction with a surreal dreamlike sci-fi edge then ONLY FORWARD IS VERY GOOD AND YOU SHOULD READ IT.

Amongst all the telegraph's carping and weeping about the woke mob not being kind online, I think it is very important to bear in mind that the reaction of the vast majority of the British public to the news of rod liddle's death was "who?" All this broadsheet wailing for an absolute no-mark hack.
What a beautiful morning. Sun's out, but it's cooled down nicely, I'm off to see some lions with my boys, and rod liddle's still dead as fuck.
The almost rain has brought no relief, but increased humidity to heretofore unknown levels. I am sat here just permanently damp, and not in a good way.
We had some rain, but it didn't last very long, and it hinted at getting heavy but then just didn't. It was the Just The Tip of rain, very frustrating, entirely unsatisfactory.
Non-work tomorrow. Gonna have a square of 85% dark choc, and some lager.
I'd like elon musk to make a version of 2001: A Space Odyssey where the chimp at the start clubs him to death
Just rewatching 2001: A Space Odyssey and wondering if Elon Musk is going to make a more authentic version where all the space rockets suddenly blow up?

Whomst would not
in insane local news, the 26 year old director of a rocky horror production was arrested for sending threatening messages to himself in order to get the play shut down bc he didn’t want to deal with cast drama www.mynbc5.com/article/rock...
The Times, one of the leading voices when it comes to 'protecting women and girls' calling a man who assaulted his young pregnant girlfriend, said he would rape the kids if he was a teacher and called for child sex abuse porn to be legal, 'brilliant'
Just been imagining the hagiographic eulogies that an abrasive, combative, takes no prisoners but nice in person left-wing newspaper columnist would be getting from these fucking demonic ghouls in the British media.
He took no prisoners, and pulled no punches. Including when punching his then-pregnant partner, for which he accepted a caution. I've no idea why people didn't like him.
I am saddened by the tone of commentary in this place about my former BBC colleague. The level of vitriol seems more suited to the other place. I worked with Rod at the Today programme. He took no prisoners, but he was witty and personally capable of genuine warmth. My sympathy to his family.
Haters focusing on Liddle's violence toward his pregnant partner, his galloping racism, or his repeated defences of paedophilia, should remember to mention he was also one of the worst writers to ever do it. A calorie-free hack of the first water. Just absolute dogshit, back to front.
Zippy off of Rainbow. Always was a demonic little fucker.
Apropos of nothing...let's just assume Paddington takes people to the escalator that goes up Who takes them to the one that goes the other direction? Edd the Duck?
Haven't seen this one reposted since the beautiful news of his painful last breath dropped
In checking this I found another Rod Liddle headline to add to the "Hmmmmmm" Collection.
If Rod Liddle ever had become a teacher, the kids would have called him Mr Diddle.
