We marched in Mission Viejo's 250th parade. We received lots of applause from spectators—what great advertising for our club! The parade announcer seemed surprised as we walked by and exclaimed, "The Canyon Democrats...they just keep coming!"

We celebrated Pride Month at the 3rd Annual Pride Event at Saddleback College. This is our community, and we are proud! City Council member Cynthia Vasquez helped champion the event and CA State Assembly District 71 candidate JJ Galvez came to help us!

NEW: Just hours before a planned bill-signing ceremony, Trump said he would not sign a bipartisan bill aimed at increasing housing supply and lowering costs until Congress passes the SAVE Act. The anti-voting bill has been stalled in the Senate despite repeated pressure from Trump to advance it.

As of 6/5, statewide voter turnout for the Primary election stood at 28.6% while Orange County voter turnout hit a surprising 32.9%—unusually high for a mid-term primary. We're not done yet —the Registrar is still counting ballots. There are 33 days until official results are certified on 7/10/26.
