Let’s try this with rich people and income taxes—the wealthy had the money, it was in the Treasury paying the debt their failure to pay their fair share created.

I was waiting for Trump to overrule Moreno and get Republicans to back the wife beater. But they have grown so used to defending the worst behavior of the men in their party they didn’t have to even need pressure from Trump to defend the indefensible.

Correct—they don’t believe in preparing because they believe in herd immunity, which means thinning the herd. Of course, they also will pump themselves full of a vaccine or antiviral (as Trump did) because they believe their money is evidence that they are the alphas.

There is no plan other than to let it burn through the population while these jokers sell a healthy diet (i.e. all beef) and exercise as the cure. And maybe some unrelated drug that makes you poop yourself raw in a Walmart.
I’d say there is a non-zero chance he has rabies given his habit of eating road kill.

A lot of the pushback on data centers comes precisely from longtime residents who are understandably worried that "people with high incomes" will "buy houses and stuff" -- making their communities more unaffordable. (And, don't expect to see Sam Altman move to rural Louisiana or Utah anytime soon.)

Leaving aside the fact that it’s laughable, the last thing my small town would have wanted growing up is a bunch of rich ass holes coming in and throwing their weight around.
